Nestled in amongst some trees and long stretches of highway is a community which has over the past couple of years been building a small oasis by bringing some music to their laid back part of the state in Louisiana. A hidden little gem known as the Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival, it doesn’t need superman acts to waltz into town and lay down a lot of rock star attitude. They don’t need spray painted pop singers or football length stage acreage. No, all this little festival has to offer is good music, good food and people having a good time.
There will be live music, delicious BBQ, and local craft beer.
This is a family-friendly event, and the admission is FREE.
It's sweltering now but fifteen Saturdays from today, you'll be catching that cool river breeze at Docville Farm during Blues Brews & BBQ. You'll be filling your BBQ quota for the year, and trying some gorgeous craft beers and this hot summer will be a memory.
You'll also be discovering some great new music, because we'll have a stage full of some of the best new and established blues musicians in Louisiana. People you know. People you listen to. People you love. People you're going to love! And the music is FREE.
