CALLING ALL BLUES MUSICIANS. The New Orleans Blues Society will be holding the local competition for the International Blues Challenge SUNDAY AUGUST 30TH AT TRUE SOUTH (542 S. Norman C. Francis Pkwy,) Competition will start at 2 pm Alternating between Solo/Duo and Bands. One very tight 30 minutes set . Back line will be provided. Call or text Laura at 719-337-6691 to sign up. Mr. Sipp – The “Mississippi Blues Child” is known for his electrifying blend of blues, soul, gospel, and rock that leaves you wanting more. Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers – One of Louisiana’s premier zydeco acts, delivering high-energy performances that keep crowds dancing from start to finish.
Randy Jackson of Zebra – The legendary voice behind one of rock’s most iconic bands brings decades of classic hits and unforgettable musicianship.
Steve Blaze of Lillian Ax and Christian Serpas of Ghost Town– A special acoustic performance featuring stories, songs, and the music that helped define Louisiana rock.
Angela Easley – A regional favorite known for her soulful vocals, powerful performances, and deep connection with audiences.
Peyton Falgoust Band – A rising force on the Louisiana music scene, blending Southern rock, blues, and roots influences into a sound all their own.

Crescent City Blues & BBQ Fest
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation invites you to celebrate 20 years of the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival on October 9-11, in Lafayette Square Park.
Performers for this year's Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival include Grammy-nominated guitarist Samantha Fish, Blues legend Booker T. Jones, Blues Music Award winner Johnny Sansone, Delta blues guitar icon Little Freddie King, New Orleans-born singer-songwriter Mia Borders, and many more!
For three days, fest-goers are invited to revel in soulful sounds from top blues musicians across the Gulf region, succulent and savory barbecue along with countless dishes representing Southern cuisine, and handmade works of art crafted by local artisans.
Admission is free and open to the public, with VIP Experience tickets available for purchase
